Majority of POS printers come with a USB cable you can use to connect directly to your printer. This is the most reliable and simplest of the connection types. The limitations are obviously that your printer has to be right near your POS, but for most stores this is no issue.

Point of Sale is the only destination that supports USB printing, you cannot connect any other printer with this method.

Click manage printer on the Point of Sale printer card to get started.

This will bring up the printer management panel. Here you can connect printers, configure them, and test they are working.

Select USB from the dropdown

Click Scan to find any attached USB devices.

Select your device from the list, and click Connect

You can now print a test receipt or forget the printer to remove it
