Sometimes we need to add an item to an order with a custom name and price. This could be anything from a container of sauce not on your menu, to a custom order for a staff member

We refer to this as a misc item

• Misc items are purely attached to the current order, they will not exist in the menu after using them
• Misc items can currently be used in place of discounts and item price overrides, i.e. half price pastry end of day.
  • They can also be used to charge for extras on food items, i.e. extra burger patty. (This will change when we redesign our menu modifiers)
• Misc items still show up on receipts and in reporting.

To add a misc item to a sale, open the actions menu in the top right of your POS

Click add misc item

Input the details you want

After clicking add, it will be added to your current order

This can be removed or edited as any normal item
