You will see these terms thrown around when using our POS. While we support both in our platform, you should understand the differences and why to use one or the other.

Customer Receipt

A customer receipt (often referred to as customer copy) is what we are all used to as consumers. It is a summation of your entire order, including payments made, time of sale, and the GST number or other details of the merchant. This is the default receipt printed by the POS.

• It can be set to print manually only when the clerk completes an order on the POS
• It can also be manually printed from the Orders page on the POS
• There is also an option in the POS settings to shrink the receipt down to save paper

When to use

• Use this if you have no need to separate receipts by area (i.e. kitchen, barista, etc)
• If you need to provide customers with a GST receipt
• If you don’t mind using more paper
• If you staple receipts to takeaway bags and want to provide a full customer copy
