Steps to reconnect store devices to a new network
It is recommended to restart the store WiFi router before following the stpes below.
If your store internet stops working and you need to connect devices to a Mobile hotspot or New wifi network, follow the steps below.
This will reconnect:
- POS
- Kiosks
- EFTPOS terminals
Step 1 — Connect the EFTPOS Terminals
- Unlock Eftpos
- Select Android Network
- Select the new WiFi network
- Enter the WiFi password
- Tap Connect
Wait 30–60 seconds for the terminal to connect.
Note the EFTPOS IP Address for POS
Once connected:
- Tap Settings on the connected network
- Scroll down and select “Advanced” to open the dropdown menu
- Locate IP Address
Example:
192.168.1.45
Write this number down.
You will need it to reconnect the POS.
Step 2 — Connect the Kiosk
- Unlock Kiosk
- Open Settings
- Select Network & Internet
- Select WiFi
- Choose the new network
- Enter the password
- Tap Connect
Step 3 — Connect the POS
- Exit the POS application
- Open Settings
- Select Network & Internet
- Select WiFi
- Choose the new network
- Enter the password
- Tap Connect
Wait 30 seconds for the connection to establish.
Step 4 — Reconnect EFTPOS to POS (VxLink)
Because the network changed, the EFTPOS terminal IP address will also change.
You must reconnect it in POS.
- Open the POS application
- Open Settings
- Select Payments
- Select Configure
- Tap Forget
- Enter the new IP address noted earlier
- Select Reconnect
Step 5 — Confirm Everything Is Working
Check the following:
✔ POS is connected to internet
✔ EFTPOS shows Connected
✔ Test payment works
If payments fail, restart the POS and EFTPOS terminal.
